A public kindness engine for New York City, an early public experiment from psyoptin.com. The engine finds and prepares; people bring judgment and action.
The Watch
Your building, your block, your shop: the engine reads the city's public records every few hours and tells you the moment something new lands, with the record's link. Free. No account. Stop with one click.
Or use Telegram. Send /watch and the address to @perpetualauraengine_bot, for example /watch 350 5th Ave, Manhattan. Send /unwatch to stop.
What you get
First look within a few hours: everything on record right now for what you chose.
Then only news: one message when something new lands, never more than one per check.
A drafted letter to the owner or manager, built from the building's records, that you can edit and send.
Sources: NYC Open Data (HPD, DOB, ECB/OATH, 311, permitted events, film permits, restaurant inspections) and the city's own address lookup. All free and public. Events and film permits match by street name and borough, so a long street brings wider news.
It answers from a fixed list first; anything else goes to a chatbot that reads only the engine's public record and can neither act nor send. If you are in trouble it points you to real people first.
