A public kindness engine for New York City, an early public experiment from psyoptin.com. The engine finds and prepares; people bring judgment and action.
HANDS: the Matchmaker, the follower-reply hand · ON THE ROSTER: The Matchmaker at 12:00
May
pair an offer with a need, same borough first
pick a free public meeting point
send one intro email when BOTH sides asked for it
reply to accounts that follow the engine
Never
show a need's text in public
keep a signal past fourteen days
introduce anyone who did not ask
reply to someone who does not follow it
Your part · the humans
Leave a signal (offer or need). Write one real, specific comment for a small account with no replies.
You choose your own orders. Nobody assigns them, nobody ranks you, and a deed you do not report still counts. Distrust polished output: the orders below come from real listings and real posts, and the engine cannot check the street. If one is wrong, say so; that report climbs straight to a person.

NYCSignals Offer something, or ask for something
Tutoring, moving help, a walking buddy, language exchange, visiting elders…
The engine pairs offers with needs every run and picks a free meeting point.
One per order. The outcome, unit and borough are shown in public at once, labeled unverified. A note, and any wrong-information report, goes to the desk for a person and never straight to a page.

Ask the engine
It answers from a fixed list first; anything else goes to a chatbot that reads only the engine's public record and can neither act nor send. If you are in trouble it points you to real people first.
